FAQ - Family Group Sheet

What is the purpose of Family Group Sheet?
The purpose of this group is to allow members to share their life stories, and build strong relationships with others who are part of the family while experiencing some highs and lows of their lives. Many members bring stories from their family to share at our meeting, and some choose us because they want to share their story with others in our community. Is Family Group Sheet only for family members? No. Anyone can participate in Family Group Sheet. It is not a required membership. Family Group Sheet focuses on sharing stories of challenges and joys that our members have faced throughout their lives. The meetings are open to all who wish to be a part of this shared experience. Does Family Group Sheet have to do with your local church? No. It is an opportunity for families to gather as a family. It doesn't have to be church-related. Who should come to Family Group Sheet meetings? Family Group Sheet is not a meeting for members of your church. Family groupings should feel like a place where family is important, not a place for church to be. We encourage you to participate in other things in your area rather than Family Group Sheet. Are there age requirements for coming to get help? No. There are no age requirements to come to Family Group Sheet. However, please do not bring a child under the age of 11 or a child under the age of 4. No one under those age caps should be able to participate in the discussion. What do you hope to gain through participating in this group? We believe everyone is capable of sharing their story, no matter what is going on in their lives. We want to help members make sense of this crazy way life has been for them and make friends with other people around the same age as them. Can I bring any material to share at the meeting? Please do not bring any material of any kind to the meeting. This is for family and friends to share what life has been like for them. What activities will you have after the meeting is over? After the meeting, members can continue to discuss their experiences, connect with other members in the group (some groupings are a mix of men and women only) and hang out. They should also feel like they have something to talk about for the rest of the day. All events are open to everyone.
